The 2017 Architecture and Landscape Architecture Camp is anticipated to occur during mid-July with registration opening during spring 2017. To receive notice when registration opens, please send an email to JLF30@psu.edu with “Architecture Camp” in the subject line.
The Architecture and Landscape Architecture Summer Camp is for interested high school students (entering ninth graders through just-graduated seniors). The camp takes place Sunday, July 10, through Thursday, July 14, 2016. View the sample schedule.
This Penn State summer camp offers you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the kinds of activities that take place in a university’s professional design programs in architecture and landscape architecture. Faculty, alumni, and experienced undergraduate and graduate students will mentor the campers, who will use the facilities of the Penn State Stuckeman School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture. You can try your hand at design and take part in hands-on building and model-making activities. You’ll also tour the unique architecture and landscape architecture of the Penn State campus and take a field trip to Fallingwater — the famous house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. You’ll round out your camp activities with films, campus tours, and social events. The registration fee includes meals, dorm housing, materials, instruction, and the field trip and admission to Fallingwater, near Somerset, Pennsylvania.
Most camp participants are typically from the United States; however, this camp accepts registrations from any country as international participants within the proper grade requirements, as indicated above, are welcome.
